RENOVATION & EXPANSION

This project started the bid process back in June of 08. After a couple of months of doing some value of engineer MSS closed the contract with Rogers Builders and Presbyterian Healthcare in November of 08. Mechanical Systems and Services put together a complete mechanical, controls, and plumbing package for the hospital and Charlotte Engineers including the following additions and keeping the existing HVAC and Plumbing system in operation. MSS started doing demo in the existing plant in January of 09 and will be working on it till February of 2010. The new scope of work will be as follows:

HVAC SCOPE

  • Provide and install two new 1500 ton chillers.
  • Provide and install four new 1500 ton cooling towers
  • Provide and install all new primary, secondary, and condenser water pumps.
  • Purchase and install a new AHU for their laundry facility.
  • Install a new 24” chilled water piping system in the existing plant and new addition
  • Install new 30” condenser water piping system for new cooling towers and chillers.
  • Changing out three old 750 HP boilers with three new Low Nox 750 HP boilers.
  • Installing a new Boiler feed water system.
  • Installing new VFD’s for all new and existing pumps.
  • Installing a new fuel oil system for boilers and new generators.
  • Providing an exhaust and intake ducted system for the new generators.
  • Installing all new steam and condensate piping for new boilers and boiler feed system.
  • Installing a new Webs AX system for the new chillers,cooling towers,and boilers.

    PLUMBING SCOPE

  • Providing and installing a new Medical Vacuum pump system with associated piping.
  • Installing a new domestic hot water system with new hot water storage generator tanks.
  • Installing all new Tempering water station with new piping.
  • Installing a new Oil separator system.
  • Providing and installing new floor, roof drains and piping for new addition
  • Installing a new Medical Oxygen emergency fill line.
